Yesterday was my first day in my new uni course to become a primary school teacher. I had a fantastic day and I’m feeling really good about this direction I’m going in. I even made a few new friends and contributed some meaningful discussion! Yay!

I still found the time to enjoy the little things, like the sky and the warmth of the sun. The sky was so blue and there were these amazing clouds just rippling across like the texture of the sand at the beach. It was perfect. See?

I love the winter sky.

I can wear tights. I am developing quite a collection at the moment, despite my tendency to put holes in them at inopportune times. These ones are actually ones I bought last year and they may possibly be my oldest pair.

I also like sleeping and lounging in the sun.

I just wanted to post in the relative calm before the storm…if you have no idea what I’m talking about that’s ok. I’m sure a future post or two will explain! It has been pretty busy around here. I just wanted to say hi and let you know I haven’t forgotten my lovely readers. I will leave you with a photo of something that has been keeping me really calm lately…I must be a little old grandma in disguise!

I’ve been getting a lot of work done on this beautiful rainbow crocheted blanket lately. I think the last time I was crocheting it was on Sunday when I was watching Doctor Who. I have to admit that although I was never really a fan of Doctor Who before I have sort of fallen in love with the latest season and the 11th doctor is just adorable. And the last episode actually brought me to goosebump-y tears. It was beautiful and it played out a dream that I’m sure many Van Gogh fans would have fantasised about.

That’s all for now, I have to go bake bake bake!!!

Everything was beautiful this afternoon.

Sunlight shining through my fresh mint tea.

(I’m a little amazed at my phone’s photo editing skills) This photo was from an afternoon at a beautiful beach. A little while after this the setting sun shone on the waves and it was stunning.

This will be a photo post to celebrate Georgie fetching. Granted, she does it on her own terms…she will rarely place the ball at my feet instantly, but she will watch you for a moment and then put the ball down where it will roll towards me. She does this very consistently and if you happen to try and hurry her up she gives you this look that is incredibly proud and maybe a little offended that you would dare rush her, this is her game, and she plays by her rules. I love this dog.

Isn’t she the best?
